Look How Fast Uber is Growing...

In the time since we brought Uber home (over a month ago), he has tripled his body weight, grown taller, longer, floppier and he is doing pretty good with training. We went to the vet for a check-up today and he weighs 30lbs! We are having a lot of fun taking him different places to meet dogs, cats (that didn't go so well), and people.

His new hobby is chasing the little specs of dust that he sees in the evening, coming through our front window. It is quite entertaining and gives Chris and I some time to eat dinner.

His nose and ears are getting bigger too!

His favorite spot on the cool bricks at the fireplace.

He enjoys swimming on these hot summer days!
Ok, so I like to swim with him too!

Uber adopted his own puppy this weekend. A small Dachshund toy to get him ready to meet his new friends (Chuck and Amy's new Dachshund puppies, Ollie and Kiwi).

Our Trip to Indiana...

A few weeks ago, we traveled to southern Indiana to celebrate my Grandmother Allen's life and say a final goodbye. She passed away on June 4th, after suffering two strokes a week prior. We all miss her dearly, but are comforted in knowing she lived a happy, beautiful and full life.

While the funeral was difficult, it did bring a lot of family together that don't often get to see one another. We were happy to spend a few days enjoying each other.

The "big" boys, Max, Will, and Dallas, tourturing James

We went to Churchill Downs to watch the horse races with some of the family (from left Max, Dallas, Chris, James, Cousin Missey, Mom, Cousin Bart, Dad, and Uncle Bill)

We saw many other people from the family, however, I didn't get as many photos as I had thought. The kids just do cuter things to get their photo taken.
